How to FTP with DirectAdmin

DirectAdmin uses a different document root structure than cPanel. With cPanel your files typically stayed relative to /home/username/public_html. DirectAdmin is a little different and your document root is /home/username/domains/example.com/public_html.

In the case of your DOMAIN.COM, your document root is located here - /home/USERNAME/domains/DOMAIN.COM/public_html

When you connect by FTP with the USERNAME user, you are automatically placed in the /home/USERNAME directory.  From here you would need to navigate to domains/DOMAIN.COM/public_html.  If you have your FTP client configured to send data to public_html, please update this to domains/DOMAIN.COM/public_html.
