Hello,

The cPanel account is configured under the 66.147.237.123 IP. You will either need to point the domain to that IP or if you need the account configured on the 66.147.230.132 IP, we can change the IP of the account, but we will need account verification. Account verification is the Support PIN located on the lefthand side of the welcome screen when you log into the client area at dotblock.com. We have provided the link to the client area below:

Hello Team,

We have moved one ADDON Domain to our primary Account by using "Convert Addon Domain to Account".
Domain Name : kurtkazanowski.com
Before "Convert Addon Domain to Account" IP was 66.147.230.132 for kurtkazanowski.com.
After "Convert Addon Domain to Account" domain IP is showing 66.147.237.123 on WHM Panel and also on DNS zone.

I have changed IP from EDIT DNS Zone from WHM Panel for kurtkazanowski.com.

When I hit this domain kurtkazanowski.com on URL. Its Showing "Never Park" page.

I have put one file test.php on public_html. That file also not worked. You may check by using below URL.
URL : kurtkazanowski.com/test.php

If you need any more information from us. Please let me now.

Please check for the same. Please make changes on you end.

Hi Pam,

We have pointed the domain to 66.147.230.132 IP. I think you have to configure or make changes on apache configuration file.

But still URL is not working.

Please look into the below URL.

Hello,

It looks like the domain is still pointed to the 66.147.230.132 IP. You will need to be sure you are editing the DNS zone on the nameservers for that domain. Which appear to be:

NS1.NEVERPARK.COM
NS2.NEVERPARK.COM

If you need anything else or have any questions please let us know.

Hello,

As Mikhail stated previously if you are using the Convert Addon Domain to Account feature, it will move the email as well. You would not have to restore it from a backup:

The 'Convert Addon Domain to Account' feature splits an addon domain into its own account, which moves the selected email, site files, and databases. If you are converting an addon domain to be a primary domain on its own cPanel account, you can move the email during that process, as the documentation covers.

You may wish to re-read the cPanl documentation thoroughly prior to performing the conversion:

https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/68Docs/Convert+Addon+Domain+to+Account

If you need anything else or have any questions please let us know.

Before username provided to you. I have cross checked its not showing but now its showing.

I have also cross checked for Backup options on cPanel Panel account for Email Migration.

Its only showing "Email Forwarders & Filters — Back up your email forwarders or filters." It will also take complete backup of one Email Id. How to restore email id and complete site on WHM panel. when we have completely moved on Primary Account.

What option we have to choose.

Hello,

There should not be much downtime at all as it is copying over the files and once it is all copied the document root is updated to the new location. If you would like us to perform this for you out of the 3 free hours of admin work allotted for your server per month we can certainly do that. We expect each conversion to take about 15-30 minutes. You currently have 4 active domains that you would like us to convert as well as a test site, so that will be 5 in total. This work will use about 1&1/2 - 2 hours of the admin work for your server for the month. Please note, if you go over the 3 hours of admin work, any admin work after that is charged at the discounted rate of $40/hour. Please let us know if you would like us to proceed and provide us with the domains you would like us to convert at this time.

We will need account verification to approve the admin work/changes. Account verification is the Support PIN located on the lefthand side of the welcome screen when you log into the client area at dotblock.com. We have provided the link to the client area below:

https://billing.dotblock.com/clientarea.php

Hi Mikhail,

Yes, we want to migrate websites to a same cPanel Account with Primary Domain.

your most recent reply seems to imply you're looking to move addon domains to their own cPanel account ("Then we can migrate emails after creating Primary Account on cPanel or not.").
Yes, I am discussing for cPanel Account not for non-cPanel Account.

If We want to take steps for "Convert Addon Domain to Accout". Again my question is that. By using this steps.
1. We have to setup website. We can check it by using testing URL. After completion of website. Up to Starting work to End work. We need to access website from Main ADDON domains will work and also work Emails. All email IDs will work from ADDON Domains. When our testing URL is completed. Then we can finally move Email IDs and also delete ADDON Domains.
I want to know above point.

Thanks,
Sanjay Singh

Hello,

I'm sorry but at this point it's rather unclear exactly what you're trying to do. In your earlier messages you stated you're migrating websites to a non-cPanel server and that you would not be using the cPanel 'Convert Addon Domain to Account' feature; however, your most recent reply seems to imply you're looking to move addon domains to their own cPanel account ("Then we can migrate emails after creating Primary Account on cPanel or not. ").

Can you please clarify whether the addon domains are being split off into their own cPanel account, or if they're indeed being moved to a non-cPanel environment?

If you're not moving to a cPanel environment, we have no way of knowing if the unique structure to those emails will work on your new system.

The 'Convert Addon Domain to Account' feature splits an addon domain into its own account, which moves the selected email, site files, and databases. If you are converting an addon domain to be a primary domain on its own cPanel account, you can move the email during that process, as the documentation covers.

If you have decided to convert the addon domain to its own account, can you please clarify why you wouldn't use the 'Convert Addon Domain to Account' to move the email, files, and databases? If this is what you need, you'll want to have the server owners submit an admin work request so we can split the necessary domains into their own cPanel accounts for you. They'll just need to supply the Support Pin from their billing area for verification.

If there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Hi Mikhail,

Thanks for information. I have also cross checked given documentation.

One more thing i want to now that.

  1. If we have taken backup of Email Account from ADDON Domains. Then we can migrate emails after creating Primary Account on cPanel or not.

  2. If we create Primary Account and copied source code and DB backup on Primary Account. Then we have to delete any ADDON Domains except Email ID. Is there any possibility to keep email ids and delete any ADDON Domains.
If this possible, So that time, we need to migrate email ids or not. All email IDs will work from ADDON Domains. After switched on to our Primary Account.

If you have any documentation regarding for the same. Please provide us.

We are waiting for your positive response.

Thanks,

Hello,

Temporary URLs are formatted like this:

http://serveripaddress/~account-username/addondomain_directory

Here is the cPanel documentation for the backup options in the cPanel accounts:

https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/70Docs/Backup+for+cPanel
https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/70Docs/Backup+Wizard

Other than those options, you'll need to take manual backups of the content you wish to move.

As Pam mentioned, we cannot provide extensive support for this. Please keep in mind that basic server administration and web development tasks like taking file backups is well documented online and an experienced web developer should be well-versed in this process. I'm afraid we can't walk you through a manual migration, so I recommend you take a look through the cPanel documentation and locate resources online for manually moving the content if you find the cPanel backups aren't fully covering what you need.

If there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Currently we don't want to delete ADDON Domains and we only want to create temporary URL for all ADDON Domains.

If we only want to take backup of Email Account. So how we have to take backup and how we have to restore email ids to same Primary Domains.

Hello,

You can certainly keep the email where it is and move the site to a different server.

There isn't documentation on this. You would want to take a copy of all of the files within the document root for the site as well as a copy of the database and move that to the new non-cPanel server. Please note as this is web development it would be outside our area of expertise as well as outside the scope of our support. You will want to contact an experienced web developer for further help on this matter.

Hello,

Here is the cPanel documentation on converting an addon domain into its own account:

https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/68Docs/Convert+Addon+Domain+to+Account

We suggest taking a full cPanel backup prior to completing this. Unfortunately, cPanel does not provide a built-in way to just backup the email for an account. Though if you do take a full cPanel backup, that will backup the mail for the account as well.

If you need anything else or have any questions please let us know.
