Can HostRocket customers operate mailing lists?

Yes

Mailing list software can be employed on the webserver so long as the mailings are configured properly, and ratelimited to send no more than 500 email messages per hour (each recipient is one email), as per the limits in outlined our terms (https://tos.hostrocket.com/). Additionally, all users who are subscribed to a mailing list must have previously opted-in to receive said emails. Accounts found to be sending unsolicited bulk emails will be suspended for a terms of service violation.

Alternatively, we also offer a Mailing List feature in the email administration, which runs off the Mailman software. Using this integrated mailing list feature bypasses the 500 message per hour limit, as this software automatically rate-limits the mailings.
