What is the redemption period?

When a domain expires the original registrant has about 30 days to renew the domain at no additional cost.

After that, the domain enters the redemption period where the registrar has applied to re-release the domain to public registration.

When the domain enters redemption, there is an additional $250 fee to renew the domain on top of the annual renewal fee of $20.

Please note this fee comes directly from eNom (the registrar we go through to register domains for clients) and we are not able to waive or reduce this fee.

After the redemption period, the domain becomes available for public registration. During this period anyone will have the ability to register the domain and there is no guarantee you will be the first to get to it. It is possible someone else will register the domain in this period.
