How do I add an Addon Domain?

To add another domain to your hosting package, log into your cPanel account and click on the Addon Domains icon. Specify the new domain, and the name of the document root / directory you would like that domain to resolve to, and click the Add button.

Once the domain has been added, there will be a new subdirectory in your public_html folder. If it was not custom-named during setup, it would default to using the same name as the new domain. For example:

domain2.com
/home/username/public_html/domain2.com

Upload the index page for your secondary domain to that folder.

As far as relative paths are concerned, the subdirectory containing the secondary domain will be handled as if it were the root web accessable directory on a separate account when accessed via the domain URL (domain2.com).

You'll also want to verify that a DNS zone has been created for the domain. If you're on one of the servers using the nsX.myworlddns.com nameservers, your DNS is handled on-server, so a zone will be created automatically when the Addon Domain is submitted.

If your domain would use the dns1/dns2.hrnoc.net nameservers, you will need to contact support to have a DNS zone created for the new domain.
