How do I transfer my domain?

If you would like to transfer your domain from HostRocket to another registrar, you can manage your domain by logging into your client area at the following link:

Please keep in mind that once the transfer is in progress, neither registrar can make changes to the domain's nameservers, and domain transfers take about 5-7 days to complete, so if you would like to make any DNS changes, you should do so prior to initiating the transfer.

As per ICANN regulation, the contact information on domains must be valid for the person or entity registering the domain. Please review the contact information for your domain by going to:

Domains > My Domains > [Your Domain] > Contact Information

If your domain is locked, you will not be able to transfer your domain. You should check to see if there is a lock on your domain by going to Domains > My Domains > [Your Domain] > Registrar Lock. You may need to unlock the domain for transfer by selecting "Disable Registrar Lock".

After you have checked your contact information and confirmed that your domain is not locked, you can have the EPP transfer code sent to the registrant contact email by selecting Domains > My Domains > [Your Domain] > Get EPP Code. Your new registrar will require this code in order to initiate the transfer.
